Pastor Bryce was born in 1962, in New Orleans, LA. At the age of 9
he moved from New Orleans to Las Vegas, Nevada. At the age of 15 Pastor Bryce
Melancon made a personal profession of faith and surrendered his to the Lordship
of Jesus Christ at a tent Revival. He then graduated from Bonanza High School in
1980. At the age of 17 he was called by God to
preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Bryce began preaching the gospel as a young man at Wednesday night
Youth services. He began working with youth and then after a year was promoted
to be a Sunday School teacher at Moments of Miracles Church in Las Vegas,
Nevada. He also began serving the local body and assisted the Senior Pastor in
areas pertaining to leading worship and new converts. He then was licensed as a
minister in his call to the ministry. In 1986 his travels moved him to Ridgecrest California where
he married his wife Jewell, who was in the United States Navy. Together they
began attending The Union Baptist Church. There he served for 3 years in the
office as Youth Pastor and as Assistant Pastor. |
In 1989 their travels took them to
Adak,
Alaska. However in route there was a six month transition to
Jacksonville,
FL. There he met a man of God by the name of Bishop Vaughn
McLaughlin of the Potter’s House Christian Fellowship. This man of God had a
powerful impact in his life, and still does to this day. In Adak Alaska Pastor
Bryce & wife served as Pastors of the Gospel Service for two years. Many lives
were changed by the power of the gospel, and by the biblical principles taught.
In 1991 their travels took them to Misawa Japan where he served as an associate to Major Chaplin Lorenzo
Meekins. Leading and conducting worship, teaching Biblical foundation classes,
and preaching the gospel in various Japanese schools and surrounding churches.
In
1994 their travels moved them to their current
place of residence, Hanford,
CA. He then served one year as an associate Pastor with Bishop Robert
Hooks at Restoration
Christian Center
in Visalia,
CA. They began an outreach ministry to Avenal Correctional Facility,
and a weekly Bible study for a year.
Then in
1996, by a word from the Lord, they were led to
go assist Bishop James Archie at the Moments of Blessings Church in Fresno, CA. There
he served in ministry for four years and there received Ministerial Ordination
before their release to pioneer a church in
Hanford, CA. In
2003 God gave him the name WORD OF TRUTH MINISTRIES. Jesus said in John
17:17,
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy Word is truth.”
Pastor
Bryce has been married for almost 22 years. He is a proud parent of 4 children,
(Sherman 27, Crystal 26, Christopher 25(RIP), and Justin 20; and have two
precious grand daughters; Aliyah 6 and Kailah 4.
He has a
heart for all people, to reach the TOTAL MAN (spirit, soul, and body). His
vision is to make a difference in the spiritual atmosphere in the local
Hanford
community, the Central Valley at large, and
